Life Start Expands in Calgary, Bringing a Bold, Unboring New Model to First Aid Training in Canada

Calgary, AB – March 17, 2025 — Life Start, Canada’s only fully Canadian-owned, for-profit first aid training provider — powered by a national franchise model and a rigorous trainer development system — is expanding in Calgary, bringing fresh energy and higher standards to an industry in need of reinvention.
Following the successful launch of its first corporate-owned Calgary location in February 2025, Life Start will open its first Calgary franchise this May, led by local owner Luc Falardeau. The company already operates five locations in New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia, with continued expansion planned across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba within the next year.

In Alberta, Life Start is fully OHS-approved, meeting the same regulatory standards and recognition as Red Cross and St. John Ambulance.
