Class held at the YMCA of Greater Saint John
Important Notes: This is our first round of babysitting classes since COVID-19. Our class sizes have been cut in half – which also means our program can be completed in less time. Safety is our #1 priority here – which means social distancing, equipment sanitized between each use and no sharing of any equipment or mannequins between participants. Please also note that we are not accepting cash payments (COD) at this time.
About the Program
Set your babysitting career up for success, and learn what you need to know to stay home alone safely or help someone who’s hurt. You’ll have a blast with our fun, interactive class, plus be prepared and excited to start babysitting. We’ll even make you a batch of business cards to hand out! This course is for middle-schoolers aged 11-15.
- Basic safety and first aid for himself/herself while alone
- Dealing with emergencies
- How to create a safe environment
- How to cope with common problems, such as tantrums and crying

***Please remember to send a nut-free lunch for your child***
